Question: Photograph and/or framing advice please!?
I have several pictures which over a short period of time (within 1-2 years) have gotten "wavy" in their frames!. The pictures aren't completely flat anymore!. Most are 8X10 photos and the other is just a framed print!. They are all behind glass with cardboard behind and seem very "matted in" to me!. Why is this happening!? I live in the south so I suppose it could be humidity!. Is there a way I can spray fabric adhesive on the backs to attach to the cardboard or would that ruin the photographs!? I have Googled my fingers to the bone and cannot seem to find an article or solution to this!. Thank you in advance for any input!.
P!.S!. They are not located in a bathroom where steam would be!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This problem can be avoided by printing on heavier paper, one way to cure this is to mount the picture to a backing board with a spray photo mount adhesive and frame that!.

Don't forget you need a matte to keep the picture from touching the glass, otherwise eventually it will stick to it and be impossible to remove without destroying the picture, then the back of the frame needs sealing, usually with brown gummed paper tape (which has neutral ph) to seal the picture into it's own 'microclimate'!.

If you do all this 'wrinkling' will never happen!.
