Question: Lost my favorite Hobby!?!?
Since I can remember I have been drawing!. I used to draw every single day, notebooks filled with doodles and things that had meaning to me!. Sometimes I would draw scenerios of things that I would like to happen to me one day in my life, they only made sense to me when I saw them because they were very random!.
I have grown quite skilled in my graphic abilities and my friends, family, teachers, strager tell me my drawings are very interesting and odd!. I am a caroonist basically, but i also can do realistic art!.
However, for the last two years, one of which was senior year of highschool, and I gained myself a boyfriend who caused me a bit of stress and first year of college which also stressed me out!. These could be factors!.!.!. but I just don't feel like drawing!. Ever!. I don't have ideas, It doesn't make me feel as good as it used to, even though I have lots of time, I am just!.!.!. blah!. It doesn't come from the heart anymore!.

I cannot abandon a talent I have had forever!. What then!?!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I dedicated my entire life to drawing from age 10 - 21, then stopped completely!. I went to art college and got a degree, etc!. But after graduating , I lost interest totally!. I was in depression for a few years and lots of stress!. Eventually what happened was I got a job doing something fun and sort of related to art (video, close enough) and just started to live again!.

I got really happy and awesome life a few years later!. But I STILL didn't draw!. I just had a great time of my life!. With my spare time I just travelled the world and met people, etc!.

I didn't draw normally again until I turned 28 or 29, I think!.!. the past 3-4 years!.

Basically just go on with your life!. Find some other hobbies, but the important thing is to make yourself completely happy somehow!. Don't force yourself to draw!. Eventually, it might happen that you'll end up drawing again!. It basically comes down to whenever you get that 'drawing from the heart' feeling again, you will start again!. It might not be for years!. But don't worry about it!. Because when you are happy, the things that make you happy will probably start to burn into your desires once again!.

Now I am getting myself prepared for doing art as a career again and have learned how to draw even better than when I was in school!. I never forgot how to draw, so don't worry about that!. It's like riding a bicycle!.

Just try to make a fun journey of your life!. If drawing will come back, then so be it!. I think it will!.

check out my website, everything on there is something I drew after I started drawing again in the past 3 years!.
