Decorateing drumsticks?

Question: Decorateing drumsticks!?

I want to decorate my drumsticks because I have no life and am very bored!. How can I decorate without screwing up because of the curvey-ness!? I want to make a checkerboard kind of thing with paint or sharpie idk yet but I just need to know how to not screw up and thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

they have tape they use for drumsticks used in marching band, its just colored electrical tape and works well without messing up the sticks and you can grip them fine!. any tipe of acrilic paint would make the wood feel weird, not so sure about sharpie!. it should be fine but the ink might bleed on your hand even after its dryWww@QuestionHome@Com

tape it off first then paint!. remove the tape after painting!. you might need to do tape paint remove tape then tape again, paint again and then remove to get the checkerboard pattern!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
