Question: Have you ever lost a camera !?

I almost did , though the only thing my warranty doesn't cover is it getting lost , the dude that sold me the camera said that even if it falls off the grand canyon and burst into smithereens , they will replace it with a new one :)

Yes, I have!. The first time, I was on an airplane, flying home for Christmas!. I had a Canon A1 with a roll of film in it, and fearing what would happen in my checked luggage, I held it in my lap!. There was a really nice (and cute) guy sitting next to me, who kept me talking during the whole flight!. He distracted me so much, I left my camera behind when I got off the plane!. The airline people told me I couldn't get back on the plane to look for it!. They looked and told me it wasn't there!.

Then a few years later, after I'd replaced the camera with a Nikon FM2, I was flying to Japan to be with my boyfriend (currently my husband)!. Fearing another loss of my camera, I locked it securely in my checked luggage!. I got my suitcase back, still locked, without my camera!. Those luggage handlers are really sneaky!

The only other camera I lost is one I loaned to my little brother and never got back!. I don't mind that so much!. He was going off to the Gulf War and all!. I never did ask him what he did with it, and never asked for it back!. He is my brother, after all!. (And it was only a little pocket Olympus camera!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, if you lose your camera, just tell them that it's in the bottom of the Grand Canyon then!. (haha) Take note that the warranty probably only covers one such loss!.

Well, besides one camera that was stolen (3 in my lifetime, actually!.!.!.) I lost one in the lining of my coat! I put my little pocket camera into an inside pocket of a particular coat without realizing there was a hole in the pocket!. I just slipped it in and let it go!. It dropped through the hole and ended up near the bottom of the coat!. Thank goodness, there was not a hole down there! It took me a long time to find out there was a hole!. I just KNEW I had put that camera into that pocket and I finally stuck my hand in!. I don't know what I was expecting to find, but I sure wasn't expecting to find a hole! After that, I knew where to look for the camera!. I'm luck I didn't sit on it or something!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I lost my camera in Rome and couldn't think where I'd left it at all, then when I went back three weeks later it was in the restaraunt I'd left it in :D I was very happy!. But yeah, I've never come across a warranty for a piece of hardware that covers it getting lost!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, but the yearbook staff in my high shool left the cameras and hard drives on a girls car's trunk!. And it all got stolen, so they had to buy all the expensive cameras and all again, and also start taking pictures from scratch!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well yes I have lost my camera but not for more then a few min!. I leave my camera in the wierdest places, I wouldn't be suprized if one day we open the fridge and there is my camera!. The wierdest place I left it was in my moms cloths pin bag because I was outside and she was hanging clothes out and I didn't want to go in so I stuck it in there, well later that night I was walking around the house going wheres my camera, good thing I remembered where I put it or I might have never found it lol!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
