How does my room look?

Question: How does my room look!?

I'm 15 and I'm aspiring artist and interior design!. I recently was given the opprotunity to design my bedroom!. I only ws given $300 plus a desk of my choice as a gift!.

So tell me what you think!. Ignore the carpet color though!. I wasn't allowed to change the carpet!.

I would have gone with a different color on the walls!. Black or close to black colors like that make me feel confined!. I like maroon reds and light browns on walls, grayish blues are nice too!. But hey I had a black room one time, and it was fun, i put glow in the dark stars everywhere and got some GITD paint and made some cool designs!. I like Marilyn Monroe on your wall, I keep meaning to get a giant mural of Audrey Hepburn for my hallway!. E-mail me if you want to see some of my rooms!. Im actually not finished with all of them, I just finished painting my bathroom!.

also about the floor, Maybe talk to your parents about the armstrong swiftlock wood floors!. They are cheap and easy to install if your a guy with a half a brain!. My father did a few rooms with that stuff and it only takes him the better part of a day to complete it!. It looks very stylish as well!. Your room looks smaller than mine and when we estimated for the swiftlock floor it was like 200 bucks or something like that!. They price it by the square foot, it goes from $1 a sq foot to $5 a square foot, but if you get the $1 type, thats only 100 bucks if you have a 10x10 room!. (I know you said no floor suggestions but I had to throw it out there) It looks like you did an AMAZING job with what you have to work with though!. Now keep up the dream, use other people money to design their homes to make yourself rich!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

i loooove the third picture, it's put together so nicely!. i don't really care for the desk, i think you should paint it a more natural color, preferably one that goes with the color of the walls!. i like the controversy between the white and black, but i think you should pick a middle color to brighten it up a bit, or have more white than black!.

and PLEASE do something about that desk, i don't think it's nice on the eyes at all!.

but other than that, it's pretty good as a whole, definitely room for improvement, but at 15 it's a great start!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I agree with the first guy!. It is a LITTLE to dark!. You don't need to change the colours, though, just get some more lighting!. I really love the look though, especially that fabric on your chair!. If you could though, you might want to change the flowers that are holding back your curtains to something like white rings or something else that would match a little more!. Well, I thought it was cute!.
But when it comes to interior design, color is not a limit!. And that might be your room's limit!.
If you want to be a better designer, find more objects that doesn't fit in a particular category, but find objects on all walks

it is truly goth!. it still looks kinda sparse though!. Add more pillows and quilts to the daybed and arrange the TV so it's like a comfy hotel room!. And I think you need something more on the wall, it's just too empty!. Or else a hanging shelf!?

The problem is the table!. It looks old , and painted with white wall paint!.
