Hi Lynn, There are tips for taking good pictures of yourself, but you also have to have some accessories!. You do not mention what type of camera you will use!. That is most important!. You also don't mention if you are wanting these pictures indoors or out!.!.!. also makes a difference in the answer but I can give suggestions and perhaps they will help!. You won't really get good pictures using the tiny point and shoot cameras that are out there!. If you have one, or can borrow or rent one, use one of the digital SLR or film SLR cameras, like the Nikon D40 or Canon Rebel XT!. There is a setting on the camera that lets you time release the shutter by 10 to 20 seconds so you can set up the shot, trip the shutter and then jump into the picture!. That should give a really nice quality picture!. If quality does not matter, the suggestion of standing in front of a mirror and shooting off a few frames is fine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Use a tripod, or balance your camera on a steady surface!.
Put an object where you will be when the picture is taken, then focus your camera!. Make sure it's on timer mode, then press the button!. Run over to where the object is, and push it out of the way!. Quickly pose!. Don't look directly into the flash, and try and stand in front of a solid background, like a wall with no shelves!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

if you have a digital camera with a large screen, stand infront of a mirror (if possible) and point the camera at you, then look at the screen in the mirror & position the camera until its the way you like it!.

ok im no expert in taking photos but i know the basics first is stand in a posture which u feel compfortable with and take the photo in a light enviorment in a dark enviorment the photo wont come up so good try these i hope these workWww@QuestionHome@Com
