Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Nope! You just can't beat the "Brick"! It was the first manual camera I used (and I consider it my first "real" camera for that very reason)!. I got mine on eBay for about that same amount, and it takes awesome pictures!. Actually, I have two Argus C3 cameras!.!.!.and also an Argus C4 and C-44!. I'm definitely an Argus fan!. :) EDIT: Gwyn, apparently you aren't really into photography!. Otherwise you would know that a cheap digital camera with no manual settings, and a fixed focus would never in a million years compare with the pictures you can get with a manual film camera!. For someone who really DOES want to learn more about real photography (instead of just pressing a button and being totally cluess about how to get a correct exposure and use photographic techniques to get the picture to look the way you want), he's right that you can't beat an Argus C3!. With most cheap point and shoot digital cameras, you have almost no control whatsoever!. You can't do anything with a cheap point and shoot digital camera that you can do with an Argus C3!. I've taken pictures using selective focus with my Argus C3 that wouldn't be possible with my 8 megapixel digital camera because you can't change the focus or aperture!. Someone could get an Argus C3 for dirt cheap on eBay, and actually learn about real photography!. It IS a bargain!. And a camera on a cell phone!?!? Are you kidding me!? That's not a camera, that's a toy!. It's fine for getting pictures for MySpace, but not real photographs!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Yes!. Any digital camera would be a better deal!. Think about it: - film costs more than the price of the camera!. Comparatively, that would make "film" for a $30,000 Hassy cost $45,000 (if it took film !.!.!.)!. What a horrible bargain! - a digital camera of the same quality usually comes with a phone attached!. - the camera is $8 on Ebay!. I can get better photos (and a flash!) out of the lighter/cheaper disposable cameras at Walmart - for less money ($6)!.
