Watch your backgrounds for distracting things, although you have done a good job in selective focus!. Especially in #5 there is a bright white area, It would be easy to clone it away!. Bryan Peterson has a book on informal and environmental portraits called "Beyond Portraiture" that you might enjoy!. Learn to use fill flash and reflectors, and practice posing!. Google Zeltsman guide to posing and study that site!. Dated images for sure, but the elements of good posing are the same!. He covers the basics and you can modify at will!. I think you have made a great start!. Keep practicing and refining and you will do well!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Ya as first attempt it more than good!. I have suggestions, your model should NOT always look into your leans!. It gives kind of 'similarity' to all the pics!. Where you should have taken some 'profile' shots too!. Try to be more artistic with lights, arrange/develop/manage some shadow details/parts on the face so that the depth of the face could be felt!. When shooting, try to compose different frames some closeups and some real closeup to eyes etc!. Make them stand out by wearing the appropriate color to match them!. The only suggestion I would have is to have more variety in position!.
