i'm not creative nor can i draw!. just wondering if it's possible for me to major in graphic designing!. thank for your help and time!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

No you dont have to be, the only thing you need to have is will to learn!. It is an extremely interesting course, ive done it, and you do a lot of painting and drawing, but also a lot of computer graphic work, using programs such as indesign, illustrator and photoshop!. These use a lot of skill which they will teach!. Everything today is becoming computer generated, so its a good thing to learn in the creativity field!. I had students in my class which didnt draw too well and admitted it, but when it came to computer graphics, were fantastic! and i had an older woman in my class who drew so beautifully and realistically, but when it came to computers, didnt do all too well because of the lack of computer skills she had, but she still had a great time in the course and passed all her modules!. well, it is best, BUT
if you can grasp the mechanics of a graphic design program such as flash, photoshop, or illustrator, you are now the person who puts the pieces together!. You don't have to come up with the pieces yourself!. Most jobs that will hire you to do graphic design work will tel you exactly what they want!. All you have to do is make it happen!. So if you know your way around a program such as the ones listed above, you should be able to materialize what they want using little or no creativity!. i feel its very much necessary to be creative to do graphic designing!. as far as graphic designing is concerned its all on the PC now so its fine if u cant draw but u should be use to using the computer !. what i would suggest is u should keep two things in mind while choosing to do majors

1) Ur interest in that line ( which i presume u r, hence u asking this Q )

2) u should have the capability n the characteristics to do it!. as it is of prime importance in todays competitive world ( do think on this pt )

im just finishing studying graphic design and have been to two interviews so far,
it is an industry where you have to be creative as you have to have new ideas 24 7
unless of course you apply for a job that simply rips off other peoples stuff n they are out there
dont commit yourself if your unsure because studying it for how ever many years will turn into a waste and you will realise at the end of the course that you feel like crap coz all of the other students work will be incredible

No, you don't! Well you do if the graphics are for yourself, but you will mostly be hired by people who don't have the skills to do it - they will give you every bit of info and all you need to do it know how to use the program well!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
