That depends on what I'm shooting!.!.!. there's set up time, adjusting time, and shooting time!.!.!. if I'm taking a photojournalistic approach then seconds!.!.!. if I'm shooting in the studio then atleast 1/2 an hour to set up first!.

Edit: the time it takes from the view finder to shutter button!.!.!. usually a few seconds to check the composition!.!.!. sometimes minutes or hours to wait for the right lighting!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

depends on what it is right!?
If it's a pic of my friends posing for a photo opp in the bar about a second!. If it's an artistic piece it may take days!? maybe you bracket your pics and develop them your self and you are looking for that certain something and you go back to that place everyday at 6pm because you want to get the reflection off the water from the setting sun!. Maybe you are taking a long exposure at night and the shutter is open for an hour!?

Generally it takes a day scouting the location, probably another 2 to 4 hours waiting for the right light, and, finally, 1/30 to 1/500 seconds to capture the image!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It takes a moment to take any snap!. To make images takes as long as it takes till the light and composition are right!.

So from a split second to an hour or so some times!.

Depends if i'm doing a quick snapshot!.!.then it'd take like one second!. but if i had to get in correct posistion angle it then focus it'd take about 5Www@QuestionHome@Com
