How to use the 7 point AF on a Canon Rebel XT?

Question: How to use the 7 point AF on a Canon Rebel XT!?

i just got one to borrow all summer for yearbook!. the guy in charge showed us how to pick one of the points you want to focus on, but i completely forgot and dont have the manual!.
i know you use the wheel behind the shutter button, but you need to do something first, and thats what i forget!.

You have to choose the mode, first, but it's better explained in manual!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
