Wow, just think of the money you will save on filters !!!!!!

Great idea, I might go and try that too !!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

First off I can't imagine why anyone would spray paint any camera, much less a Hasselblad!. Had I done this here's what I would try!. First would be denatured alcohol!. Being sprayed I assume this is alkyd (oil base) paint!. If the denatured alcohol doesn't take it off I would take a damp rag, keyword being damp, not wet!. Use some Ivory liquid on the rag!. and put it so the entire glass area is covered!. Keep the lens where there is plenty of air so none of the moisture works it's way into the lens itself!. Keep the cloth damp!. This could take hours, possibly as many as 24, but the Ivory liquid should lift even alkyd paint given enough time!. Even though paint can be dry to touch, all paints now have what's called "cure" time which can be as long as a few months before it's hard to get off!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There was a suggestion to use Hydrofluoric Acid!. DO NOT USE IT!. It will etch the glass!. It will also eat through your skin clean to the bone!. A special neutralizer is used with it!. Try lacquer thinner first, then acetone!. These will evaporate quickly so you'll have to keep the lens moist for a few minutes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If its acrylic about the only thing that works is denatured alcohol!.!.on a cotton swab!. Spray some unimportant glass, and clean it first!.!.!.be certain the glass is not harmed before trying this on your lens!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Actually you should just leave the paint there!. Look at it like a permanent filter!. Who knows, it might be perfect for InfraPink shots!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
