Question: Would I be able to recreate similar images with a Nikon D200!?

Nicole, the photographer, uses a digital Canon 5d but I was wondering if the Nikon D200 would be able to replicate similar images!.

Absolutely!. There is a LOT going on here besides the choice of equipment, but the D200 is a pro level camera!. You might look into the D300, if you are going in this direction!. I had my D200 for 2 years before I bought the D300, which I've had for about 6 months now!. Either one is an excellent camera, but the D300 is my top choice now!.

Recap - you can't just point a D200 (or D300) at a subject and get final images to match your samples, but you can get an image that can be just as easily altered to arrive at the same end point!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Listen, the type of images you'll produce is totally dependent on the photographer's skills!. The camera does not matter as much as many people believe!. I've seen excellent images taken with 5 year old 4 mega pixel cameras and poor results with Canon 1Ds Mark IIIs!. To answer your question in short, yes, the Nikon D200 can easily produce excellent results!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes and no!. A lot of the effects Nicole has going on in these pictures is done in post-production with Photoshop!. Either of these cameras will be able to take images that could be altered like these!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
