Unless you are in a heavily populated area with the right demographics, you might not get enough pet work to have a career!. I guess it depends on how much you want or have to make to make a decent living!. Photography is not an easy business to earn enough wages to live on!. Everyone with a digital camera is a potential professional now!. Do you already possess professional level skills and equipment!? Without having the basics, you would just be one of the thousands of wannbes getting into the "professional" photography arena!.

Perhaps if you also did people portraits or events you might have enough customer base to make a go of it!. Antoni had good advice about doing the footwork before jumping in, and I agree!. Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Assuming you have the knowledge, study and training behind you and the tools!.

Do extensive research on the demand in your area!.

Do a viability study!. Write up a business and marketing plan, then if it all looks good go for it!.

It's always worth a try, but you WILL NOT be able to make a living at it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
