You get the right idea!.

anne!.jpg : good, just move in closer (or zoom in tighter), capture just the face, and keep shooting until she smiles!. Focus on face (so use single center AF)

castle4!.jpg : nice to include a foreground subject, but again move in closer, either focus on flower (castle is then out of focus) or focus on castle (flower is then out of focus)!. Or back off, zoom in so flower occupies 1/4 of frame and get everything in focus

Remember, if you are shooting digital, it does not cost anything to take 100 pics of one scene, keep the best and throw 99 away!. I exaggerate but you know what I mean!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

1!.) Shoot at eye level with the subject and use a tripod then focus on the eyes!. Chose a different background this one is not very apealing!.

2!.) very distracting try to focus on one subject or multiple subjects that compliment eachother so the viewers eyes are not all over the place!. The sky is a little two harsh I would go back and shoot this right before the sun comes up and or right after it goes down and or before a storm so contrast levels are not so high and the sky looks a little more dramatic!. Then just pick one subject like the building with a clear shot of the foreground with maybe some flowers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Can you change the ISO on your camera!?
If possible, you should make it higher when you are in lower light!. The EXIF shows the picture was shot at 1/45, which means the blur is slightly from motion while taking the photo (hand shake)!. Making the ISO higher is probably your only option since you don't have DSLR, and that will in turn make your speed faster, so you will have sharper pictures!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

1st one would have been better from further away but zoomed in a bit!. Less distortion!.

2nd one the roses would have been better slightly out of focus!.

You'll pick up hints and tips from just about any photography book!. Check your library :-)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Baby - too much background!.

Building - you have exposed either overall or to the centre, so the sky is a whiteout!. One good way of compensating is to underexpose and then bring up the building and other dark areas!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Point and shoot photos!.!.!.but still creative!. There is nothing you are doing wrong, who is to say wrong and be right!? It would help you to get a SLR camera so you have more control over what you want in the photo!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
