You ask for an opinion, we give you an opinion!.!.!. you should just take it, no need to get all butt hurt!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I agree!

The other day someone asked a STUPID question, "Is this a good camera for me!?"

I answered, "I don't know you!.!.!. so I don't know if this is a good camera for you!.!.!. but I recommend this camera!."

And they reported me with a violation!.!.!. pretty stupid huh!?!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am not sure what this particular issue is, but there is a difference between being honest and saying something like, 'this is bad, but you can work on it by doing this'
and
'crap!. waste of time'

I think if we have something negative to say, we should also state a way that we think it could have been better!.

There is a difference in being honest and completly trashing the person!. And I dont think some people here know the difference!.

That being said, I have not reported any of my answers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, I have seen some answers that were just unkind!. There are ways to be nice about it!. Suggestion for photography classes is also helpful!. Something can be said about informing the askers that this photo is blurry because camera shake, and go on to explain about how to improve it, is better than something that is so blunt and offer no suggestion at all!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is YAHOO's Answers STUPID policy on Violations ~ they take anybody's any complaint as a VIOLATION without even investigating!. But you can APPEAL it once you get the email from YAHOO Answers!. Sometimes they recind the violation!.

I think they are investigaing this process and thinking about changing it somehow!. Yahoo that is!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't think so!. If the picture is crap say so!. That way if they're dumb enough to put themselves up as great photographers, they will find that everyone with half a brain can see they're crap!. If the pictures are good then say so!. It encourages people to improve!. Besides opinions on photography are often just that, opinions (Except when people make blurry pictures, out of focus pitures, and all kind of other things like that for no reason!. I mean blur and focus and!.!.!. are meant to be used to show or hide things, not just place randomly)!. If there are technical faults, point them out!. If the picture lacks asthetic appeal, say so!. Technical faults should be stated as facts (even if people think it's mean)!. Other faults should be stated as opnion!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't think anyone should ask an opinion if they aren't ready to hear the truth, but a lot of posters here are kids!. I like to give a constructive response in a nice way whenever possible!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No we should all just suck up to them and tell them how pretty they are and how much we wish we had a pink cell phone camera just like theirs!.!.!.!.and that all their pictures are GREAT and should be in a gallery for megabucks!.!.!.!.oh btw, whats an f-stop!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Your right, that's the risk you take when you ask an opinion on something such as that!. Now, you can have a negative opinion without being viscious and mean though!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

tell them if they want too hear the truth!.!.then your honest opinion, don't be too blunt!.!.!.just that your sure they can take a better picture, maybe that day wasn't there dayWww@QuestionHome@Com

No the truth can hurt sometimes yes!.But how are people going to improve/change or whatever if people lie!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sometimes refraining from answering avoids hurt or upset feelings!. What matters most, being honest or being kind!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

por que!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

you're stupid!. that's the truth!. this place is not for ranting!.

what kind of answer did you really expect!?!
btw, if you can't take it, don't dish it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
