Filming outside?

Question: Filming outside!?

I am filming a movie outside!. The lighing for one of my actors is not flattering!. How can I shoot outside, using the natural light and make my actor more appealing!? You can hardly see his face because it's too dark!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

this is a common problem with filming in a uncontroled environment!. You can use a car sun reflector and relect the sun toward the actor!. If that is to bright for your scene or actor you can also use a large piece of white construction paper and reflect the light toward the actor as well!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are translucent screens you can rent that are 8x10 feet mounted on a frame that will diffuse the light!. You see them on outdoor sets all the time!.
