Question: What's the best way to achieve lip-sync in Stop motion Animation!? Or best way to do SM-Animation in general!.
I am making a short Music Video that is supposed to be made using Stop Motion animation!. I have no experience with stop motion animation but I am a film student and know the idea of it and the very basics!.

I have to animation a mouth (made of clay) and sync the lips to the lyrics of a song!. I can probably figure out how to animate all other aspects of the video but I anticipate the lip syncing to be difficult for me (someone who has never done this)!.!.!. i was wondering if there is any software out there to aid in stop motion lip syncing or if anybody knows the best method for me!.

thanks

What you need is a stop motion program that'll let you both capture your stop motion frames and let you import sound as well as let you scrub through your audio (listen to your audio track frame by frame)!. Being able to scrub through your audio while animating will make it easier to synch and fix any errors in lip synching, rather than trying to make everything fit together afterwards!.

To actually frame-grab and compile the movie, I'd suggest using Monkeyjam if you're on a PC!. It's free, and you can scrub through audio!.

If you're on a Mac, you could try Framethief or FramebyFrame!. I've never used them, so I don't know if they have audio scrubbing deatures!.
