This ring flash adaptor has just been brought to market!. As of now it will only work with some Canon flashes and the Nikon SB800!. I don't know if you could make it work with your SB600 or not, but you may find it interesting anyway!.

My understanding of ring flashes it that they are not "add-on" flash units!. The two I had a few years ago, I used for shooting macro, not portraits!.

I use one or two incandescent lights when I shoot fashion and glamour photography!.

Here is the Nikon macro flash and you can see that is is not dependent upon either a SB600 or SB800, but independent!.

You will see that ring lights are not sold by Nikon any more!.

While there are ring flash accessories for studio flash systems, you can see that they are rather expensive, even it you already have the studio flash system!.
