When I take fireworks, I put my hand in front of my manually operated camera, press the button and count 4 seconds and then, let go of the button to close the shutter!.
This way, i can depress the button and wait for the right time for the fireworks to explode, remove my hand from the lens for a few seconds, and close the shutter!.

Light takes a few seconds to move towards the lens which is why I do it manually!.

As for an automatic camera like today, you have to use a slower shutter speed, or , like me, open the f-stop manually and put a park object in front , remove the object, and count a few seconds to allow the light to enter!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
