And I want to buy a gorilla pod:

But how do I know if my camera will fit on it!? Area all tripods built to fit all cameras!? Are tripods in general universal to allow any camera to screw into it!? Will the gorilla pod work with mine!?

If I buy one in the future would I have to get a new tri-pod!? Thanks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If your camera has the little place for a tripod to attach on the bottom, it will fit on a Gorilla Pod!. You can even do the smallest of the Gorilla pods, they come in different sizes based on the weight of the camera (or in the case of the Digital SLR, the camera plus lens)!.

One thing, though, is you may be ready to consider getting a new camera!. Yours is rather out of date!. Shooting with anything less than 6 megapixels nowadays is sort of a waste!.

But anyway, yes the Gorilla pod should work fine (the tripod attachment on most cameras is pretty standard!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm pretty sure that there is a standard for tripods so that they fit every camera and vice versa!. I've used a lot of cameras and a lot of tripods and everything has fit so far!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The standard tripod socket is 1/4" x 20!. Assuming this thing has the standard stud (99!.99999% sure that ist does), it'll fit your camera!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
