I've got really shaky hands, but I rarely have problems with it when I'm taking pictures, maybe it's because my camera is heavier and keeps my hand steady!. Who knows!. I did try to learn to do other peoples makeup, and I couldn't draw a straight line with an eyeliner brush for anything! I can do my own eyes with liquid eyeliner, but no one elses!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am horrible with holding cameras steady!. =)

I find it helps to balance my elbows on a surface if possible, or, when I'm taking the picture, inhale and bring my elbows in close to my body!. Then I hold my breath as I press the shutter release button and very gently exhale!. I also like to use tripods or set the camera down on a flat surface when I can!. also, as someone already mentioned, hold the camera close to your face and use that viewfinder; don't use the LCD screen!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, I have that problem!. My hands shake a lot!. I generally brace myself really well, or use a tripod!. An overwhelming amount of my work is still life, so that doesn't pose a problem, and would often be needed anyways!. I also use a hand held shutter release as well, or the self timer!.

If you are not using a tripod, try to brace your body against something solid, at a comfortable position!. If you can get your arms/elbows braced against something, that is even better!.

Most cameras now I think are coming out with image stabilization technology, but I dont know exactly how it works!. My camera has it, but my hands do shake a lot, so I dont know how well it works because I auto go to the tripod and such!.

also, the lcd screen on my camera flips out and swivels!. That means I can hold my arms close at waist length and still see what I am taking a picture of!. This helped tremendously when I was going through cancer treatment and my arms were weak holding the camera at eye level to use the eye view finder!. I actually use my lcd most of the time now, as it does pop out and swivel!.

However, a fixed lcd will add most of the time to your shaking hands and blurriness!. It wasnt until a few weeks ago with Ashton Kutcher's CoolPix camera that I realized people really take pictures with their arms extended like that!. I had no idea!. And then I went to my hometown for a Mothers Day dinner my grandmothers church was having!. They named her mother of the year!. Anyways, one of my aunts pulled out the camera and was taking pics like that!. I really had no clue!. I also didnt realize that most cameras dont have the pop out screen like mine does!. For the longest time I couldnt figure any reason outside of generation gap that people didnt like the lcd!. But, point is, your arms are naturally going to have a lot of motion when extended like that, especially if your camera is heavy!. So, using the eye view finder will help a lot!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yup, it's blurry for me!. Have you ever learned science!? Since the earth is always moving, you have to move, even when you think you're not moving you're actually moving!. Learned that in school before!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, I don't have a steady hand!. I would compare my steadiness to a cell phone on vibrate haha!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
