Question: How come when I shoot animals I get red eye that is blue and not red!?
When I shoot people it's red, animals blue-- anyone have any idea's!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

The green is not actually the color of the retina!. The retina is filled with blood vessels, and by itself will reflect red!. Many animals have another layer at the back of their eye called the tapetum, either in or behind the retina!. It is reflective and helps them see at night!. Some animals don't have it, (like humans, with our poor night vision) and in some it produces green, blue or yellow reflections!. Some animals will have the regular looking red eye!. Due to the angle of the flash, it could reflect as two different colors!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's the colour of their retina, it's green on cats!.
