There are some heavily veiled allusions to the Bible and Catholicism in some of his works!. This may be a symbol of evil and or temptation a la Garden of Eden!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would have to agree with the first answerer!. It seems to work as a good explaination of the pieces that he used the apple in, for example:
The Son of Man: The man with the bowler hat is standing straight at the viewer and an apple is floating in front of his face!. This might mean that the sins you commit can oversadow your identity!.!.!.
(I forgot the title) There is a huge apple taking up all of the space inside of a room!. This could mean that sin is everywhere and there is no avoiding it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
