Tablets are wonderful!. Don't settle for anything other than a Wacom!. If you can afford it an Intuos is really great!. and the 6x8 is a perfectly fine size!. :)

As for creating your illustrations!. There is no such thing as an easy button I am afraid!. The pros use Illustrator!. CS3 has a trace tool option, but its kinda of iffy on the results and depends on how clean your original scan is!. The best thing you can do is scan in your artwork, import it to illustrator, lock the layer, and use the PEN TOOL to draw your vectors over the template on a new layer!. This can also be done using Inkscape, the free illustrator equivalent!. I don't suggest using fireworks, ps or gimp!. You need to go vector if you are looking for scaleable perfect images!. As daunting as the pen tool may feel or seem, in time, you will get the hang of it!.!.it takes A LOT of practice and a lot of time and dedication!. Just remember what you put into something, is what you will get out of it! :) Best of luck to you!Www@QuestionHome@Com

photoshop and illustrator by adobe are really popular, the only problem with them is that they take a while to master and the software is pretty expensive, in the in the $150 range!. Photoshop is a really fabulous program and highly suggest it if you really want to get into digital art!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
