I know exactly what's wrong!. Your brain!. Not to sound harsh and seriously read my answer don't stop here!.

In Betty Edwards Drawing on the right side of the brain (the more creative side) She clearly says something like "When you draw with your left brain mode (the logical mode) you create symbols that it believes are correct (i!.e!. a circle for an eye, where a circle clearly isn't an eye and a point isn't a nose)!. Ironically enough the left side of the brain is also the first to jump on it's creation and say it's stupid and childish looking resulting in a lack of self-esteem and therefore rip away the desire to draw more!."

In other words the exact same brain that draws terribly, instead of letting your more creative mode draw, is also the one that contradicts and degrades the very art it drew!. Ironic!.

In other words you just need to ignore it and just keep drawing no matter what!. Otherwise you never will get to the level you want!.

It's like saying "I want to take a spanish class but I can't really speak Spanish great so why bother!?" Do you see how stupid that sounds!? Of course your not going to be good at something when you first start, that's no reason to not try at all and try to become better!. Actually a part of that quote or the idea, is in Betty Edwards book as well!.

Read her book and you'll learn a little!. It's not about drawing with your hand, any fool can move a pencil, the idea is to draw with your brain and your eyes!. That is what tells your hand what to draw!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not everyone is a great artist, but just know that all the ones that you think are great all probably started out with low self esteem, too!. It's that low self esteem, that knowing that you're not the best, that makes you keep trying!. Take inspiration from looking at other people's artworks (and not just traditional artworks and stuff, try looking at digitally enhanced things, photography, sculptures, etc!.)!. Practice is hard because it's long and takes forever, but there's no quick way to get better unfortunately!. However, looking at tutorials can also be inspiring - as well as helpful!. Try looking at what other people get their inspiration from, how they draw, etc!. Seeing others at work usually gets me wanting to draw something!.

Hope this helps, somehow!. :DWww@QuestionHome@Com

ya so im not that person that helped you befor but i would just find somthign to inspire you ( songs always inspire me) and then from there just draw! if you dont htink you can come up with it in your head or your a begginer then find a picture on google or in a magazine and just copy it !.!. not trace just look at it then draw it!. this is how ive gotten much better at drawing!. and once youve practised enough youll just no how htings are suppost to look! i love art!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you can't come up with an idea, just start with a doodle and it may become a great work of artWww@QuestionHome@Com
