Please tell me it does lol ,have just picked up some photos and god i look bloody awlfull in all of them!.When i look in the mirror i think i look ok but in photos its another story!. I guess i will be hiding from the camara from now on!. They say a camara never lies which means a paper bag over my head from now on!. xWww@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: CAmeras don't lie!. They just show light and colour!. Bad photographers lie!. And good photographers lie too!. Ask any portrait photographer!. It's standard technique to bring out the "good" side of people's faces with apporpriate lighting and angles!. That's why professional shots tend to look better than holiday photos, even without any post processingWww@QuestionHome@Com Well, the camera DOES lie!. It can take a picture from a vantage point that human eyes do not normally view another person!. This is typical with a smaller point and shoot camera when the picture was taken indoors at close range!. The lenses are fairly wide angle and this does introduce some distortion, making things s-p-r-e-a-d out!. If you see someone taking pictures indoors, do your best to get center frame! They also put out rather harsh light from the flash!. As the subject, there is little you can do about this, but be aware that this kind of lighting shows off everything and it makes your face look fatter, because there are no shadows "around the corner" to define the limits of your face!. Anything that is facing the camera will be lit up and it makes it look like your face is wider than it really is!. Sheep lie, too, but that's a whole other story!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Cameras don't lie, but they can be fooled!. Sometimes the fool is the photographer!. One can make a camera foolproof, but no one can make it damnfool proof!. Still, it's a fact that some people just do not photgraph well; at least, not without some special effort by the photographer!. I have an sister in law who is a perfectly lovely woman!. She is attractive, bright, vivacious, but it is so very hard to take a good photograph of her!. Because I am so fond of her, I make that extra effort, so some of my shots of her come out quite well!. On the other hand, some people are quite photogenic!. My youngest daughter (38) just about ALWAYS come out well in photographs!. Same with my daughter in law!. It is like they HAVE no bad angles!. Some of this has to do with a person's features being perceived in a different way when they are animated!. Their special grace and beauty is in their movements, more than on their skins!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Camera's never lie!. They do however only show you one angle at a time!. Sometimes they also distort what was there!. Just remember that its only one viewpoint, chosen (for good or bad, on purpose or by accident) by the photographer and distorted through a lens!. The photographer may be putting the camera in the wrong angle or position, therefore he/she causes the camera to show things in the wrong way!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Ah!.
