First of all you can easily copy and paste images into one main window to work with!.

This isn't the only way, but the easiest way to blend two images together, provided this isn't a big image, is to use the eraser tool, and decrease the opacity!. The slider bar that controls the opacity in towards the middle of the main GIMP window!. You will only see the slider bard with the eraser tool selected!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
