Question: What material should a mold be made of to cast resin!?
I am trying to make a ball out of resin and I don't know what the mold should be made out of!. I was thinking about using a plastic ball and filling it up with the resin but I don't know if they plastic would come off of it easy!. Does it really matter what the mold is made of!? Is there a specific material that is good for using as a resin mold!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm not that familiar with resin, but have been interested in it!. I have a link that may be of some help to you!.

Here are some molds that aren't spherical but have half dome shapes that you could perhaps glue together!? :) Just an idea!.

I made a ball by pouring resin into a glass sphere!. Then broke the glass to get the cured resin out!. Resin can be poured into a rubber mold !. It is best to use a mold release to make sure the resin releases from the mold!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
