Question: Im looking for advice on buying a professional slr digital camera!?
I am looking to buy an slr digital camera to use professionally, i would prefer something with mainly manual settings so I have more options and can be more creative!. I have looked at the Olympus E 500, but it appears to have a lot of automatic settings!? I intend enrolling in a digital photography course to learn how to use manual settings!. Any suggestions from you pros out there!? Im looking to spend between £300 and £400 ($600-$800) new or second hand!. Thanks for your help!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have the Olympus e-500 and i love it! There are automatic settings, but you can have it on manual modes and adjust everything seperately!.
I came in to dSLR from an Olympus Camedia 3040Zoom and fuji point and shoots!. It took me a little bit to get the hand of it, but now I love it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You will not get a pro digital slr for that money!. In fact, you cannot even generally get an entry level slr for that money other than the Nikon D40!. Get real!. Have you not looked up prices, looked in camera shops etc!? That should be where you look, not yahoo answers!.

You also cannot simply go straight into a pro digital slr if you have not used one before!. You are better starting with a Nikon D40 or Canon 350 and learning on one of those first!. They have enough manual settings to satisfy you, and the fact is, you will not get a digital slr without a lot of auto settings!. that is just the way it is!.

I suggest you go to Tesco home as they are currently doing the d40 for £269 with a lens!. That is the cheapest you will find!. And Nikon at at the top, alongside Canon!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Try the Canon Rebel XT, XTi, Nikon D40, or D60!.!.!. all fine entry-level DSLR's to learn on!. I have the XTi and highly recommend it :o)Www@QuestionHome@Com
