Position:Home>Visual Arts> Individual creativity ????Question: Individual creativity !?!?!?!? i enjoy cutting photos and quotes from magazines(or just other random pictures) and putting them up on my wall ,and closet door in a collage fashion!. But my mother thinks i shouldnt be doing this, and threatens to take them down!. How can i make her understand that this is just creativity; and my expression of individualism!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: lol i cut things out of magazines as well but i keep them in abox for when i need to use them in an activity!. try finding out why it bothers her!. lol she just might be ticked off that ur using the walls!. maybe u could get a huge poster board and decorate that and then place it on your wall!. there are a million things for you to choose!. ;)Www@QuestionHome@Com Well part of expressing your individualism is being able to express it well enough for people to understand!. also being able to LISTEN when they express themselves!. All "creativity" is not creative!. Not everything needs to be expressed!. You can not will every war so pick your battles!. Is this the one you wan to put everything into winning or are there better ideas to fight for!? How are you an expression of your mom's creativity!? What does that show you about her individual expression!. Time yourself!. Now the solution!. Use large poster board to put your collage on instead of strait on the wall on doors!. This can be saved much easier!.Www@QuestionHome@Com The first question is, why is she mad!? If you can figure that out, then that should help you know how to fix it!. Maybe suggest having a patch on the wall that is "your spot" where you can put ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you want, maybe even paint it a different color, and she can't do anything about it, but you have to listen to her anywhere else!. You could also get a notebook and put pics in there instead of the walls!.
