Question: What is this Venice building called (pic)!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Having been to Venice, I didn't see this building either in person or in any of my guide books!. It definitely is not part of Basilica San Marco!. Indeed, I have a hard time believing that this is in Venice, Italy!. Venice, Elsewhere, maybe, but not the Venice!.

Nonetheless, I'm not even close to being an expert on Venice!. I'll assume you know for sure that this is in Venice, and you're not just reading the photo's tag!. So it would be helpful for identification to know which section (sestiere) of Venice this building is in!. Can you tell us!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I can't figure out which one this is, it looks like maybe a chapel(!?) off the side of a larger building, so it could be a side chapel of a larger cathedral, St!. Marks is the most famous cathedral there, so maybe it's at St!. Mark's!? I'm going by the cross on the spire, and the little statue alcove on the right wall!. The facia is more modern than many of the other pictures I've seen of buildings in Venice, the tympanum looks like the type of architecture being built during the Baroque period but there isn't very much adornment, and there is the "separation" of floors on the outside which means it had to have been built for use by royalty or the wealthy!.
I'm stumped!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Are you sure this is in Venice!? It doesn't look familiar!.

[Update] If it exists, it will be on this site:
