Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: The letters on either side are the Alpha and Omega!. They are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet!. The middle symbol is the Chi-Rho!. It is a combination of two other Greek letters!. It was originally used to mark sections of manuscripts that were interesting or of importance much like we use NB today!.
