Easy to use!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Easy to use!? Yes!.

Too easy to use BADLY!? Absolutely!!!

Easy to learn how to use CORRECTLY !? Not exactly !.!.!. but it can be learned!.

Depends on what you want to use it for, and how serious you are about learning, and not just hitting automatic buttons and doing silly tricks!.

First hint -- If there's an auto anything (levels, color, contrast, brightness, etc!.) button !.!.!. DO NOT USE IT!

Why!? Because 99 times out of 100 those automatic settings will be wrong and your image will be worse, not better!.

The right tools and techniques are there in Elements 6, you just have to know where they are and how to use them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Any software application is "easy" to use once the user knows how!.

ANY version of Photoshop, whether an old or new version, a full version or "lite" one like Elements is a POWERFUL tool and most have features that most users will NEVEER use!.

As far as "easy" for a beginner, to make an effect like applying the "Artistic" filters to an image, the technique is exactly the same on ALL versions of photoshop!. Swapping heads and bodies is the same on all versions!. Same for crude, manual adjustments of brightness and contrast!. Layers work the same on all of them!.

It is in the details and fine controls that work differently, and an experienced, trained user knows exactly how to use them!. Still, ALL versions of Photoshop and any other photo manipulation software takes some knowledge to get full use out of!.

I will tell you my opinion, for most users, there is little difference from the Photoshop 3!.0 of fifteen years ago and the latest Photoshop CS, available now!. In a genuine "power user's" hands, the differences are tremendous!Www@QuestionHome@Com
