Suggestion: do not rework this portrait!. Keep it exactly as it is!. Date it somewhere!. Do another version of this same portrait, using shading to develop depth (darker-further away, lighter-closer to the viewer)!. You can hatch, cross hatch, side shade, etc to deepen shadows, etc!. A kneaded eraser can be used to lift color for highlights, ebony pencils or charcoal can be used to deepen the darkest dark!.!.!.!.Another version could be done in pen and ink, varying the line widths for interest, or try colored pencils or chalk!.!.!.!.or pastel! Do many! You will only improve your skills and everyone will benefit-you, by becoming a better artist and the general public, by having a new artist to view and collect! I think your technical drawing skills are very good, but you need to observe shade and light more!. Pay more attention to shadow on your face because it adds a lot more depth to you drawing and makes it so much more realistic!. also, do not use such sharp outlines on hair and iris of the eye!. Without the outlines, the portrait would look more realistic!.
