Question: Would you shoot a portrait on large format black and white film!?
Have you ever seen with your nakid eyes a black and white photographic print on photographic paper from large format film, hand printed by a master!?
Are you "into" photography!?
So on a low res setting (your screen) with poor representation of grain and zones et cetera, does this look like a good portrait!?

I have used view cameras as large as 8x10 for portraits, and found them to be excellent tools for portraiture!.Yes,I'm into photography!.And yes I have viewed many hand printed, photos made by a master at various exhibitions,at galleries and museums!.The portrait is an excellent portrait, tho I don't particularly like the subject matter!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
On my screen (24 inch lcd) it looks underexposed and a tad flat contrast wise!.
But there's no argument that an 8x10 camera shoots higher resolution pics than any digital (currently)!. Although I wouldn't try to shoot a basketball game with one!.
Different tools for different applications - 8x10's are great for portraiture, landscapes, i!.e!. stuff that doesn't move much!.!.!.
