Mast cameras are on top of news trucks!. They are usually a large retractible pole that attaches to an uplink (satellite or microwave!.!. They are typically robotic Pan and tilt!. If you are looking for something like it check out bandhphotovideo!.com!.

You could also be talking about a Jib arm!. That is usually a large crane looking thing that has a camera at the end!. they use it at concerts a lot!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Other than what jbeattie21 stated, the only other "pole" for a camera would be a monopod!.
It's similar to a tripod but is just one leg and you can extend it in segments just like if you were using a tripod!.
I'm not sure about what you are asking concerning the camera!.!.!.!.any kind can mount to a monopod as long as it has a screw-in "hole" on the bottom of the camera!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
