Maybe you are running low on black ink!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

When I print, I am able to disable the color inks (and only use black ink alone)!. It looks better than all inks used - if your printer's driver has that adjustment, you should try it!.

Most likely no!. If the color ink is "missing", the printer (most) will refuse to print!.

I have the Kodak Easyshare all in one printer!. Ink is quite cheap!. In the driver, I can choose to print only with black ink (even a color photo comes out pretty good in black ink only)!.

I am afraid I am not familiar with your printer!. Look at the driver setting (under PRINTER and PREFERENCES) to see if you can play with anything!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have a hp all-in-one printer too!. Just hit the black not the color ink!. That should do it!. But if not take it to walgreens or another store and get another copy in black!. Or is the paper in gloss if so it might not take!. Depending on the paper you are using!. If you have a copy of your printer book read under printing, you should find the answer in there!. Oh the paper of the photo might be to old!.

Good luck on your picture!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't think elvismomma meant to colorize the scans!. He meant to scan them in color, but it sounds like you already are!.

There may be a hue adjustment in your scanning software that can be changed!.

You can probably desaturate, although I am not familiar with HP PhotoExpress!. In Photoshop, if you hit [CTRL]+[SHIFT]+[U] all at the same time, it will desaturate to black and white leaving pure blacks!. Maybe it has a greyscale conversion, too!. Look for it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you are copying them using a camera you will need to check your 'white balance' setting and adjust it!.
If you are using a scanner there should be an equivalent setting somewhere in the menu to alter the saturation and colour balance!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO CONTROL THE PRINTER FROM YOUR OPTIONS LIST !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.COLOR FOCUS & SO ON ( OR YOUR ACCERORIES) LISTS !.!.!.!.I HAVE hp DESKJET 932C THAT'S HOW I DO ITWww@QuestionHome@Com

Making color copies of b&w originals usually works better!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
