Newspapers cannot print photographs until they have been converted into "halftones!."

I gotta go, now, but, look up halftones in the Help menu!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

is it a black and white or color image!?

For newsprint you can prescreen your images!. I believe a newspaper prints at 150dpi, but you might check with your newspaper!. They can tell you how to do it!. It's been a while since I've done it!.!.!.

Depending on what youre doing, provide the newspaper with all of your files and make sure everything is at 300dpi!.!.!.they should be bale to make your images look as good as they can!.!.!.

Things always print darker, by about 10% or so, and newsprint is a porous material that suck and bleeds ink!. If you lighten your images a bit it might help!. Adjust the lightness to just about the point where they seem too light and thats probably just right for newsprint!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes! the trick is to go to Edit>Assign Profile> and then you choose Working RGB Color Profile!. Another way to help is to got o File>Save For Web and save your image as a lesser quality Gif file instead of a high quality jpg!. that will allow you more control over how it looks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

verify that images are save as CMYK instead of rgb, for printing press,
