being photogenic doesnt matter how beautiful you are, it depends on your overall style, lighting and the make up worn,some people are naturally photogenic but some people can me made photogenicWww@QuestionHome@Com

Tough question, makeup plays a huge part in this!. However i do believe that someone can be naturally photogenic (look at Gwen Stephani without makeup, or Angelina Jolie)

On the other hand you can have someone who is the complete opposite of those two such as: Mickey Rourke or Danny Trejo who would be usually considered as not the "best looking" people in the world, i would however consider them photogenic because they have really interesting features to me!. I would love to photograph those two!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well there is some natural Beauty involved!. But that is only part of the equation!. One must be able to project!. For instance I have one friend that would be considered a 10 in almost anyone's book!. I met her on a casting call where I saw her portfolio!. I was surprised how poor her pictures were!. Most of the time people will look better than in person with a good photographer!. I volunteered to take her pictures and while I got some good ones they certainly didn't put her in the star category!.
On the flip side I have seen a few girls who look only ok when the walk in and by the time they are all made up and are in front of the camera they take on a new life!.
Probably the most photogenic person ever was Marilyn Monroe!. All one has to do is compare any copy cat picture to her original and see what a big difference!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
