He traced a photograph of Che Guevara and used it as the basis for a print which has become one of the world's revolutionary icons!. There is I believe a trace filter, but of course you might also get an interesting effect if you just create a new layer , make it transparent and trace on the new layer manually with the paintbrush tool, before deleting the old one!.
