It is easy to register your copyright for your photographs!. Fill out a simple form at the website of the U!.S!. copyright office:
http://www!.copyright!.gov/ The fee is $35 if you do it online and $45 if you do it by mail!. It is also easy to find services online that will do the job for you!. I don't know why anyone would use those services, but they do exist!.

There are technical ways to prevent the average computer user from copying your photographs, but it is also easy to learn how to overcome such electronic protections!. If your intent is to prevent commercial use, copyright registration will prevent most of that if your photograph is posted along with notice of the copyright registration!. But if you mean that you want to prevent people from copying your picture to use for private, non-commercial use, copyright registration won't be much help!. There is no good way to prevent copying for private, non-commercial use!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Go to this website and you can copywrite your work!. It is like 45 bucks to copywrite something, but you do not need to hire anyone!. Here is a link to the visual arts section: http://www!.copyright!.gov/register/visual!.!.!.

also, if you don't wanna pay, what you can do is put your pictures in an envelope and mail it to yourself!. Then do not open it!. That way there is an official date on an unopened package that is proof that you created the work before a certain date!. This is not as safe because some may think it was forged, but at least you won't have to pay $45 or whatever!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There is little you can do to prevent people from taking your original work!. The best way I have found to prevent unwanted borrowing is to keep the image at the lowest workable resolution!. If they blow my images up to larger than wallet size, they will distort!. They can take all the wallet sized images of mine they want as they are useless to everyone!. :)

Your other option is to watermark it, but if the watermark is too small or not placed properly it can be easily removed via Photoshop, so unless you want a large watermark across the face of your image (which is more difficult to remove), it isn't worth the trouble!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

One way is to put a semi transperent watermark right across the middle of any images you load onto the net!.

Very hard to argue with that and it is hard to remove, but not impossible!. Usualy low life thieves do not like hard work and they will go looking for something easier to steal!.

This procedure ujsing CS2 not only adds the watermark it resizes a number of images at once, good if you are looking for an online gallery to display your work!.

that or sometimes a website can provide you a code (or look it up on google) that prevents people from having the ablilty to copyWww@QuestionHome@Com

The photographer owns the copyright of any pictures they take!. You do not need a third party for this!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
