if you can find one, a Pablo!. Super cheap, fine for a beginner!. Just take good care of it (the cord on the pen can break easily)!. But if you are careful with it there shouldn't be any problems!. Look it up on ebay!. I see one for $10!. Do not pay over $30 for one, when they were sold new they were only that much!. Now that they are old they should be super cheap!. Be aware these are old and probably don't use USB connections!. They are also getting hard to find!.

If not, your next cheapest option is the UC Logic tablet!. These are around $60ish!. I've never used one so I dunno!. I believe they are also getting hard to find!.

Aside from these 2 and wacom, I'm not sure what other kind of tablets there are!. The wacoms are expensive, but they work really well!. I've had mine for about 6-7 years and it's still works like brand new!.

But actually, there is a wacom tablet that is cheaper (about $70-ish), called Bamboo!. It is fine for a beginner!. Look it up!.

In another opinion, I've had a small tablet and I use a big tablet at work!. Frankly they both have their ups and downs!. I still have no problems at all with my small one and as a matter of fact they seem to be a little easier to use because you can move them around easier!. The big ones seem more comfy because of the drawing area but when you realize they are so bulky you can't move them around with the ease as the small ones!. It's all personal preference, you might like a big tablet, but don't think you *have* to get a big one!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Affordable is the problem here of course!.

I use a big wacom, 1 to 1 relation with the screen!. I never use a mouse!. I do all my computing with the pen!.

My advice is get the biggest pad you can afford!. I've known good graphic artists who used small pads, but I notice they always envied the big pad!. Don't be cheap on this one!. The biggest one you can afford!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
