If you're really serious about being a potter, I would rent space from a local studio!. The good pottery wheels are around $1,200, plus you would need clay, tools, a kiln, chemicals to create your own glazes!. It all adds up sky high!. When I was your age I took a class with a professional and rented space for additional times that I wanted to come in!. Cheap pottery wheels don't have smooth movement and cannot support any significant amount of clay!. Good luck :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
