Depends on what you're using it for!. Whenever I write, I've always used Mirado Black Warriors, as I find them just soft and robust enough for hours of writing!.
If you're talking about drawing/sketching, Portfolio is a reliable brand with moderate pricing!.

I use BiC and Papermate Comfort Mate mechanical pencils for sketching!. Sometimes I also use Genedal's charcoal for realistic drawings too!.

For writing I like Dixon Ticondreoga!. They have good lead and a nice soft eraser that won't tear the paper or leave pink residue!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
