Question: How would I get a painting appraised!?
I live in Arkansas and have called a few local antique shops and nobody seems to know anything about paintings!. I have searched online and I am having no luck!. I have a painting that I got at a church sale a couple of years ago!. It's on canvas and it's signed by the original artist!. It's a pretty large painting of some clipper ships at sea!. The artist name is 'Jackson'!. The people who brought the painting to the sale bought it over 25 years ago!. I do not know if they bought it new or what!. I know nothing about this painting and have had no luck finding anything about the artist!. I have found the same exact painting on ebay, but it's copies!.!.!.not originals!. If anyone knows anything about art, I'd love some input on what I should do!. Thanks in advance!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
