Question: Does it take anyone else 45893458 tries to get a good picture!?

Like, it takes me forever to get a picture that actually LOOKS like me!.
Like i'll look in the mirror, and then at the picture i just took, and they look totally different!. I had the same pose and everything, my face just looks different!.
& it takes me like an hour to actually get a decent one!.

I find its easy for me!.

Put the lens at its longest zoom, put the camera on a tripod or something solid at your EYE level, select the flash to give your eyes some sparkle, select the "timer" to fire the shot!.

Run into the frame, stand about 1-!.1!.5 meters (4-5 feet or so) from the camera, use your best pose after practising in the mirror!.

If you like auto choose the "portrait" mode -its a little icon of a person on a dial or something

Well, the problem may be that you don't look the way you look in the mirror!. In daguerrotype cameras, images used to be "mirror images", so everyone was happy with their portraits because they had the same perspective as you observed in a mirror!. The trouble was when you photographed anything else, it looked funny!. In modern cameras, the image is formed with the left side left and the right side right, this means that the camera actually records what someone in that position would see!. So this may be your problem!. If by right you mean, my chin looks to big, or this or that stands out, then the problem is lighting and positioning of the subject(you)!. These will only be solved by practice and study!. also it makes it slightly easier if you have someone else take the picture!. If you must do it yourself, then read up on self-portrait techniques because they'll make it much easier to get a good picture!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it depends on your lighting and camera settings!.
i've got a semi-decent camera, so it only takes what!.!.!. 10 tries!.
