If you're going for a sinister, gothic or horror look use black!.
Otherwise, definitely do not as that it the look it will give!.

Don't use green as it will look clashy/Christmassy!.
Depending on the look you are aiming for, I would test silvers/greys, mid blues and purples!.

But really, you need to try a range of colours with the text and make sure:
1!. The text shows up!.
2!. The colours do not clash!.
3!. The theme/mood you wanted is achieved!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think black is too cliche!. It all depends on what the text says!.!.just because it is blood colored doesn't necessarily mean it's goth!. It could say, " The Fluffy Bunny Jumps Though a Field!." which means I would use sky blue to denote space!. Think of what the meaning of the text symbolizes and use a color people associate with that!. EVERYTHING goes with red!. Make it mean something!. I'm curious what the text is if you want to email me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'd recommend using a light colour, such as white!. If you use dark colours the contrast won't be very high and it might be difficult to read the text!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

cream because it won't take all of the attention away from the writing but white would look too boringWww@QuestionHome@Com
