They're only about ten dollars but they protect your lens!. also, get a good lens cleaner!. You'll be glad you have something other than a Kleenex!. Get a tripod!. You can get a decent collapsible one for around $20!. It won't be the sturdiest one, but you'll appreciate it!. Eventually you'll want to venture into the realm of new lenses, better tripods, shutter release cables, flash units, et cetera!. Yuck!. Get a Canon Xti!. Olympus makes inferior, pricey lenses - what little they carry!. Canon and Nikon make professional grade lenses!. You need a DSLR (Canon Xti or a Nikon) and a lens!. ANY Canon lens (or any Nikkor lens for the Nikon)!. Plus a compact flash memory card and access to a computer that can read those cards!. That's all!. Everything else is "wants" and not "needs"!.
