Question: What digital camera would you recommend!?
I currently have a Canon S3IS!. I love it but am looking for a small compact camera to use on a cruise I am taking!. Something that I can take portaits and carry around on board for spur of the moment shots!. Something less bulky then the S3!. That will still take quality shots with good battery life!. also want to spend less then $150 and would prefer it take regular batteries!. Last requirement would be that it take SD memory card!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hello!

I would recommend you a Nikon CoolPix L18 they come in 3 colors!. It has an anti-shake, an 1600 ISO, 4x Zoom and Megapixels!. I work in a photography store so I sell a lot of camera, and this one is so easy to use and it's so fast!. It takes SD card and even the new SDHC card!. 2 AA batteries!. Comes with batteries, usb, cable for TV and a software for biginners!. Check that one on nikon!.com!. It's only 149!.99$ Totally Worth the price!. PLEASE DON'T GO WITH KODAK!. They lost so much!. They are tottaly crap!. At my store we are profesionnals we know what to buy and sale!. And we don't have Kodak!. They are the cheapest camera ever!. That's why they are so cheap and even canadian Tire buys them!! :OWww@QuestionHome@Com

I can't recommend a good camera that takes regular batteries!. But you can buy a lithium battery charger and rechargeable lithium battery, in which case the sky would be the limit for most cameras!.

I definitley recommend a Kodak!. I have a kodak and it takes beautiful color saturated pictures!. Try looking up names of cameras you like+pictures!. You'll find sites in which people say what kind of camera they used!. That's what helped me choose a kodak for it's brilliant colors!

You should also consider getting a camera with great zoom!. Mine has 12x, and it has come in handy many times!

(edit)- I have a Kodak Z712 IS, if you're wondering!. I paid $200 for it last august, but got a free 2gb memory card with it (bought it from amazon)!. It's also better if you just go ahead and buy a card reader flash drive (mine cost like $7 online)!. It's alot easier and faster than uploading from your cables!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Nikon D40!. Read the write up here:

It is currently the highest rated camera, dollar for dollar, on the market today!.

I would recommend buying it from Amazon!.com

They seem to have the best price!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

Beware of those small online camera shops that advertise really low prices!. They will get your credit card information and then AFTERWARDS tell you it is on backorder for a lengthy time!. And good luck canceling the order!. I have heard nightmare stories!.

At least Amazon is a highly reputable store and they ship fast!.

I purchased a Kodak easy share 6!.1!. It's okay!. You may want to spend a little more!. The feature that pissed me off was the bottom load for the battery compartment, A friend!. Gave me a piece of duct tape to keep it closed!. BUY one with an internal battery!. It'll cost more!. check out your local Wal mart Good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
